Here at Behind the Plate, we offer our insight and analysis on the relevant and most discussed topics in Major League Baseball. Just like how a catcher has a different perspective than anyone else on the field, Behind the Plate brings a different opinion to traditional thought and aims to write pieces that provoke ideas and comments about America's National Pastime.
We will be starting a podcast for the site, called Deuces Wild. During the season, Nick and I will discuss the various on goings in baseball with these podcasts, but we will do team previews during the Spring Training month. We hope you enjoy it.
2013 Positional Rankings: Aidan Flynn, Nick Rabasco
Bryce Harper is off to a ridiculous 2013
In the coming weeks, we will unveil our top five players at each position heading into the 2013 season. Nick will start our positional rankings at catcher, reviewing the best players behind the plate (no pun intended). Afterwards, we will go along the diamond by number (1B-3, 2B-4...RF-9, etc) and finish our rankings with best RHP starting pitchers/relievers and LHP starting pitchers/ relievers. We made our selections after reviewing each player's past performances (especially 2012) and by gauging their likely performance in 2013. If you have a comments or discrepancies, feel free to respond in the comment section under the blog article or in the forum. Enjoy
